Ever’s Book - Prologue
So, some of you may or may not know this but I’m writing a book. I recently just turned in my edit version of the first seven chapters to my lovely editor. Hah. But I’ve been meaning to get an audience opinion on my work. It’s not great, hardly decent, and it’s still in the rough draft part of the writing but it’d be nice to see what others think. Well, just don’t expect too much. I’d hate to be a disappointment. I’m sure people would lose interest if I were to post all of the chapters now so how about I just start with the prologue?
At one point in life, I thought Death follows my every foot step. There were moments I’d turn around if only to see how far down the road He is. On days where the sun drummed the beat of heat, I remember sitting in the shade thinking He was right beside me; riding the waves. During the cold mornings, He and I would wake up early and He’d watch me run through the fields; leaving my tracks in the blanket of dew. I don’t believe I ever gave Him a personality, but I do remember giving Him a name.
